1. Data we collect
To operate the service, we collect:
- Account data: name, email and password (stored hashed).
- Device data: model, platform, system version, MAC address and a device identifier — used to bind the license and to prevent a reinstall from consuming another license.
- Your media server credentials: address, username and password, entered by you.
2. How we protect your server credentials
Your media server credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and are only decrypted at the exact moment of playback. They never appear in listings, reports or dashboard screens.
Account passwords are protected with Argon2id and are never stored in readable form.
3. What we do NOT collect
FXTV Player does not record what you watch on our servers. Playback history and progress are stored locally on your device. Content classified as adult is never written to the history, not even locally.
4. Use of data
The data we collect is used solely to authenticate your account, manage licenses and devices, deliver settings and themes to the application, and provide support. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
5. Third-party services
We use TMDB to obtain covers, synopses and cast information. Requests are proxied through our servers — TMDB does not receive data that identifies you.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card data.
6. Retention
We keep account data for as long as the account is active. Device access records are kept for up to 90 days for security purposes.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data at any time. Inside the application, under Settings → Saved Data, you can clear history and favorites from the device.
